There is a huge paradox involved in figuring out just what is going on around you. For beings such as ourselves, sourced, so to speak, in the material level of creation, some of our personal experiences lead to incorrect conclusions because of our lack of knowledge of spiritual reality. On a world functioning in a normal manner this would not present much of a problem, and the universe administration actually compensates as best it can with the facts of the nature of creation. However on an abnormally evolving planet such as Urantia, faith is left to fill this gap.
If you have gotten to this site, you were invited or were extremely lucky. If you are searching for enlightenment, I am afraid you will find only clues here. The sum total of it all is "God is everything." The difference is hearing about it or knowing it. For those who know it, I may help them put some perspective into their understanding.
Let me first state a few things for the record. God is fully in control. He loves his creations as they are all of Him and in Him. There is really nothing to fear.
We inhabit a still forming level of creation which I will refer to in the Hindu term as the material reality. We are not intended to be the permanent inhabitants of this level. We are the construction crew. Our planet is one of the newest of the inhabited worlds. The human race is only 1 million years old. This in cosmic terms is an infinitesimal speck on the cosmic timeline. The design is such that we are free to work out our evolution without effecting other worlds. The creators have an interest in our success, but rules concerning free will limit their direct involvement in the affairs of men.
In the beginning the plan called for cultural education as soon as the human race had reached the stage of non-animal mind. This plan was being implemented when events remote from Urantia caused the removal of nearly everyone concerned with implementation. Looking backward, culture seems to evolve along natural lines. This led to that and that led to this etc. The real question is "what is the source of this?" Think about the fact that the American Indians never discovered the concept of the wheel. They were smart, they needed wheels, but never came up with the concept. It is quite likely that the wheel was given to us rather than discovered. Think of a world without wheels, gears, cams, rollers, and all other variations of the theme. Let me just say that our development has been disrupted and that our world is far from normal. This is what makes it so admirable that our Creator Son, Michael of Nebadon, selected this world to demonstrate the validity of man and the love of His Father. We are the personal creation of Michael as defined in the dictionary of reality. To us he is God, while He would tell us He is just a reflection of the majesty of His Father, and more our brother.
